WeedMD Inc (CVE:WMD) (OTCQX:WDDMF) (FRA:4WE) announced it is expanding its product portfolio to include live resin under the Pedro’s Sweet Sativa cultivar.
The live resin line is the first in a series of new extract products that WeedMD recently announced, which will eventually include solventless hash and rosin concentrates, the Toronto-based company said in a Tuesday statement.
Products will be available through the Ontario Cannabis Store starting in May 2021, and will soon expand to other provinces and retailers.

Toronto-based WeedMD said it had partnered with third-party processor Peak Processing to produce the live resin formulations. The process ensures that the cannabinoid and terpine-rich trichomes are preserved at harvest, producing high-purity concentrates from WeedMD’s own biomass grown at its Strathroy, Ontario facility.

WeedMD told shareholders that product development is underway in anticipation of releasing more extract products throughout the year under the Color Cannabis and Saturday Cannabis brands.
The company said that testing to confirm scalability and product integrity when extracting the flower’s terpene profile are underway at its Aylmer, Ontario processing and extraction facility.
Earlier this week, Canaccord Genuity initiated coverage on WeedMD with a 'Speculative Buy' stance and a C$0.60 price target.
