Tempus Resources sampling confirms gold and copper at project in Ecuador

Geochemical sampling has confirmed gold and copper mineralisation at the Valle del Tigre project, an early stage, exploration project in South America's highly prospective Cordillera del Condor mineral belt.

Tempus Resources Ltd's (ASX:TMR) (CVE:TMRR) (FRA:4W0) Phase I geochemical sampling program at Valle del Tigre Project (VdT) in Ecuador has confirmed the presence of anomalous gold and copper.

The geochemical program consisted of 167 soil samples, 20 stream sediment samples and nine rock samples and covered around 10% of the total licence area of 1,950 hectares.

Sampling identified several trends over 2 kilometres and these correlate with previous geophysics, mobile metal ion (MMI) and structural surveys.

They suggest a larger mineralised system with north-south and northeast-southwest trends at VdT.

“Confirms gold and copper mineralisation”

Tempus chief executive officer Jason Bahnsen said: “The Phase I geochemical sampling program confirms the presence of gold and copper mineralisation at Valle del Tigre.

“Tempus is now planning to complete a follow-up sampling program over the larger geochemical and geophysical target area.”

VdT’s boundary is around 2.5 kilometres northwest of Lundin Mining Corporation’s (TSE:LUN) (OTCMKTS:LUNMF) Fruta del Norte epithermal gold-silver mine (7.35 million ounces at 9.61 g/t indicated resource) and around 15 kilometres southwest of CRCC-Tongguan Investment Co’s Mirador copper-gold porphyry deposit (3.2 million tonnes copper, 3.4 million ounces gold and 27.1 million ounces silver in proven and probable reserves).

Phase II field sampling

The company continues to refine the geophysical interpretation of VdT and nearby Rio Zarza project with further inversion modelling.

Geophysical modelling along with the proposed Phase II field sampling program will further define targets for a future diamond drilling program at VdT.

Tempus has initiated the drill permit process for the VdT area to expedite the permitting timeline.

ZTEM airborne geophysical survey data

Tempus has engaged Insight Geophysics to interpret the ZTEM airborne geophysical survey data, collected over the VdT property in late 2019.

This recent interpretation has defined strong conductive anomalies with ZTEM trends coinciding with known regional structures important to mineralisation in the area and highlighting the NNW-SSE structure bound by NE-SW structures in VdT - similar to the controlling structures present at Fruta del Norte.
