Clean Seed Capital Group Ltd. (CVE:CSX) (OTCMKTS:CLGPF) said Wednesday that it has struck an agreement to lease a new custom-build facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Canadian company, which is modernizing agriculture with its SMART Seeder technology, said the 16,000-square foot facility and its surrounding grounds will be the “cornerstone for the early commercialization plans of its SMART Seeder MAX/MAX-S.”
Centrally located in Western Canada, the company said its new flagship facility will be home to the assembly of the SMART Seeder MAX-S and related electronics systems, sales and customer experience infrastructure, dealer support and related R&D activities.

“Clean Seed will be hiring new skilled workers during the next 12 months for this facility to scale to customer demand for the new SMART Seeder MAX/MAX-S,” said the company.
In a statement, Clean Seed CEO Graeme Lempriere said: “We look forward to setting up operations in the heart of the Canadian prairies, providing a central location for our operations team on the ground.”

Clean Seed highlighted the steps it had taken to initiate operations in Saskatchewan:
- It has become a member of the Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP), which champions the region’s export industry and helps provincial businesses in realizing global marketing opportunities;
- Clean Seed was the first company approved for the Saskatchewan Commercial Innovation Incentive (SCII) or 'Patent Box' program, which will allow the company to reduce its provincial income tax rate from 12% to 6% for 15 years, starting anytime at the company’s discretion.
