Vuzix Corp (NASDAQ:VUZI) (FRA:V7XN) said CooperVision, a unit of The Cooper Companies Inc (NYSE:COO) (FRA:CP6), which makes soft contact lenses, has deployed its Vuzix M400 Smart Glasses, equipped with LogistiVIEW's Vision+ augmented reality warehouse software, to provide hands-free picking guidance at its 275,000 square foot West Henrietta distribution site in Upstate New York.
The company said the combined set of instructions delivered to workers intuitively and hands-free through the Vuzix M400 AR Smart Glasses and LogistiVIEW’s platform will avoid the need for any bolted down infrastructure, adding that artificial intelligence and computer vision add an intelligence layer to the process, optimizing tasks and pick sequence for the best possible efficiency. The company added that at the CooperVision warehouse, employees are currently using its Smart Glasses to assist with order picking.
