Codebase Ventures Inc (CSE:CODE) (OTCQB:BKLLF) said it has engaged seasoned investor and entrepreneur Jacob Chernoff in order to maximize results for the company’s Bitcoin mining operations and ongoing blockchain investments.
Codebase noted that Chernoff has worked with a number of public companies over past six years, evaluating and revising blockchain-based business proposals, raising seed capital, and deconstructing complex technical aspects of blockchain and cryptography into an easily-digestible format.

The company said Chernoff’s blockchain ecosystem expertise includes:
- Identifying opportunities and overseeing the acquisition of Bitcoin mining equipment, which resulted in significant and sustainable monthly revenue generation
- Co-writing and assessing the viability of leveraging aspects of Decentralized Finance to offer investors and companies returns not found within the traditional finance system
- Assessing the viability of creating a blockchain-focused on bringing transparency to the sale of rare gems, allowing for tracking of the gem's history from mine to point of sale
- Participating in the first Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) on the Ethereum platform while gaining extensive experience investing in the ICO boom during 2016-2017
Codebase added that it plans to utilize Chernoff's knowledge and connections to explore high-growth opportunities throughout the blockchain ecosystem, including the company's existing interests, future strategy development, as well as potential acquisitions.
Codebase Ventures is a tech-centric investment firm that invests in early-stage technology and cannabis companies.
Codebase has a number of companies within its portfolio including stakes in the blockchain company Arcology, as well as investments in ICO Ranker, the standard for reviews and analysis of token sales, and Blockchain Ranker, a business-to-business directory of blockchain software, service providers and platforms.
