Great Bear Resources adds another batch of high-grade gold results from LP Fault zone on Dixie project

Drill results from the northwest portion of the LP Fault included intersections of 25.1 g/t gold over 4.3m, including a high-grade core of 197 g/t over 0.5m

Great Bear Resources Ltd (CVE:GBR) (OTCQX:GTBAF) (FRA:0G6A) continues to deliver a string of high-grade gold results from the LP fault zone on the company’s Dixie project in Red Lake.

Drill results from the northwest portion of the LP Fault included intersections of 25.1 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 4.3 metres (m), including a high-grade core of 197 g/t over 0.5m.

The seven new assay results revealed Tuesday were completed along 250m of strike length located just over two kilometres (km) northwest of previous results, within the same continuously mineralized gold zone, according to Great Bear.

Other highlights from the results include 1.1 g/t gold over 23.7m and 1.1 g/t gold over 53.6m in one drill hole, and 19 g/t gold over 1.3m and 1 g/t gold over 42.5m in another hole.

"We returned to the northwestern kilometre of the LP Fault zone after more than a year drilling elsewhere along strike, and completed seven new drill holes, four of which are located within a 200 metre long previously undrilled segment of the zone,” Great Bear CEO Chris Taylor said in a statement.

“We encountered new high-grade gold mineralization in addition to the expected bulk tonnage intervals, and will undertake additional drilling in this area over the coming months."

Vancouver-based Great Bear has now released 267 LP Fault drill holes of an expected total of 400 holes as part of its ongoing fully funded $45 million 2021 exploration program at the wider Dixie project.
