Inspiration Healthcare Group PLC (LON:IHC) said a Japanese distributor has placed an initial £400,000 order for its top-of-the-range neonatal ventilator after the technology received regulatory sign-off in the country.
The SLE6000 is produced by SLE Ltd, bought by Inspiration last July, and includes features such as enhanced high frequency oscillatory ventilation designed for use with critically ill infants.
Also approved by the Japanese was the company’s OxyGenie oxygen control algorithm.
Chief executive Neil Campbell said: "We are delighted to have received this significant order and the successful registration of these products in Japan and to see that our global reach continues to expand as the advanced technologies we have developed are adopted in the leading neonatal Intensive care units all over the world."
