Benchmark Metals Inc (CVE:BNCH) (OTCQB:CYRTF) (FRA:87CA) has released positive drill results from its flagship Lawyers project in British Columbia, which showed that gold and silver mineralization could be expanded to new depths.
The assays come from the Cliff Creek part of the project, mainly the Cliff Creek North area, which is a sub-zone of the over 1.2 kilometers (km) Cliff Creek Zone.
Notably, one hole hit significant high-grade mineralization at over 500 meters (m) vertical depth, namely an intercept of 15.35m of 5.41 grams per ton (g/t) gold-equivalent, starting from a depth of 521m.

Benchmark told investors that this "further extended" the mineralization below the base of the firm's 2019 exploration target open pit model.
"The Cliff Creek North area is providing continuous, impressive grades from surface with high-grade material at depth," said John Williamson, the CEO at Benchmark.
"The mineralized system is now showing potential for open-pit and high-grade underground mining at lower levels.
"The robust results from these deep holes continue to confirm our geological model and indicate that this mineralizing system remains strong and open at depth."
At Cliff Creek, the company has already defined a bulk-tonnage target in the range of 1.68 to 1.92 million ounces (Moz) of gold equivalent at an average grade ranging from 1.71-1.73 g/t gold equivalent.
Drilling at Cliff Creek South has also hit broad zones of high-grade and bulk-tonnage mineralization.
The entire Cliff Creek zone remains open in all directions and shows strong potential for more expansion at depth in high-grade material.
Benchmark is focused on developing the substantial resource potential of its huge Lawyers asset, which sits in the prolific Golden Horseshoe of northern British Columbia.
Shares nudged up 3.25% in Toronto to C$1.27 on the day.
