DeepVerge PLC (LON:DVRG) said its subsidiary, Modern Water’s MicroTrace PDV 6000ULTRA portable heavy metal analyser, has been nominated for an environmental award in China.
The analyser is in the running for "The 2020 Scientific Instrument Outstanding New Product Award: Environmental Monitoring Instrument Category" run by the Instrument Information Network in China.
The Instrument Information Network selected the MicroTrace PDV for recognition from a field of more than 1,126 entrants.
The MicroTrace PDV analyser provides accurate and reliable detection of heavy metals in a field or laboratory environment, DeepVerge said.
Gerard Brandon, the chief executive officer of DeepVerge, said China is a rapidly expanding market for the company, adding that China has set aside US$540 billion to fight pollution.
He noted that the recognition of “yet another Modern Water Monitoring high-tech water contamination detection unit” for an award nomination follows on from the Microtox FX winning the innovation product of the year in 2019.
“This nomination validates our core expertise and the demand for our advanced water contamination solutions,” he said.
