Highlight Therapeutics' Marisol Quintero talks to Proactive London's Katie Pilbeam about the clinical activities the company is developing.
Dr Anusha Kalbasi of UCLA, the lead investigator in one of the clinical trials, joins the discussion to explain the process in regards to Highlight's lead program BO-112 in combination with radiotherapy in the pre-operative setting in patients with sarcoma. He also discusses the rationale behind the trial and its applicability beyond sarcoma.
BO-112, which works by activating a series of processes in tumour cells that stop them from evading detection by the body's immune system, as well as helping activate the immune cells, has been found to be very potent in earlier-stage trials.
