Open Orphan PLC (LON:ORPH) said its Venn Life Sciences business has won a contract to support a phase I clinical study.
Venn’s Paris team will provide the data management and statistics service for the dose-finding trial being carried out by Oxford BioTherapeutics, which is assessing safety, tolerability and the way the body reacts to a next-generation breast cancer treatment.
Researchers will also assess for preliminary efficacy from OBT076, an antibody-drug conjugate, which is being used in hard-to-treat cases of the disease.
Open Orphan chairman Cathal Friel said: "This deal further demonstrates Open Orphan's ability to execute on its significant pipeline of contracts with important pharmaceutical businesses.
"Oxford BioTherapeutics is a clinical-stage oncology company with a pipeline of first-in-class therapies aiming to fulfil major unmet patient needs by targeting difficult-to-treat cancers.
“The Venn team are looking forward to assisting with the study and providing the preliminary data required to advance this breast cancer trial."
