Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS) continues to enhance the copper potential of Constellation discovery within its 100%-owned Tritton tenement package in western New South Wales with high-grade copper results received from six holes of an 11-hole drilling program.
With precious metals also assayed, Constellation will be assessed to provide an additional feed source for the Tritton operations, thus extending project life.
Best results include:
- 2.6 metres at 6.1% copper, 0.99 g/t gold and 11 g/t silver from 246 metres in hole TAKD005 including 1-metre at 10.3% copper, 1.90 g/t gold and 19 g/t silver from 248 metres; and
- 5.85 metres at 4.6% copper, 0.96 g/t gold and 8.4 g/t silver from 200.1 metres in hole TAKD006 including 1.05 metres at 15.8% copper, 2.49 g/t gold and 28.6 g/t silver from 201.7 metres.
These high-grade copper intersections complement previously reported high-grade copper assays including 19.95 metres at 2.41% copper, 3.55 metres at 22.56% copper and 27.1 metres at 1.61% copper.
Additionally, one drill hole (TAKD007) intersected a thick sulphide package of around 24 metres with assays pending.
Mineralisation open
Drilling at the Constellation deposit has focused on drill testing the larger moving loop electromagnetic (MLTEM) plate.
Copper sulphide mineralisation associated with the larger MLTEM plate is defined over 250 metres (down plunge) x 150 metres (strike) and remains open both down plunge and along strike to the south.
Aeris executive chairman Andre Labuschagne said: “The latest round of drilling at Constellation, including further high-grade copper assays from TAKD005 and TAKD006, continues to show that this is a very exciting discovery.
“Encouragingly, the mineralisation remains open down plunge and along strike.”
Downhole EM projects the conductive mineralisation (massive sulphides) to extend down plunge below the deepest drill intersection to date (TAKD007).

Next steps
The current diamond drill program at Constellation will continue with 20 diamond drill holes remaining under current NSW Resources Regulator approvals.
Drilling will be aimed at testing the broad extents to the mineralised system.
In addition, a 60-hole RC program was recently approved by the NSW Resources Regulator and is being designed to delineate the shallow mineralised system intersected from in drill hole TAKD002 which intersected 3.55 metres at 22.53% copper.
