Plurilock Security expands its sales team with two new hires

The company said the new sales members will be tasked with executing numerous sales initiatives in order to grow Plurilock's client base in North America

Plurilock Security Inc (CVE:PLUR) (OTCQB:PLCKF) announced that it has expanded its direct sales team with the hiring of two new employees, including a US Armed Services veteran who has held cybersecurity and information technology leadership roles with companies such as BNY Mellon and JP Morgan Chase.

Plurilock noted the new sales members will be tasked with executing numerous sales initiatives to promote the company's cybersecurity offerings to companies in North America in order to grow Plurilock's client base.

“The expansion of our direct sales team represents an integral step for us to grow our North American client base,” Plurilock Security CEO Ian Paterson said in a statement.

He added: “By expanding our direct sales team, we hope to engage more companies across various sectors that require a strong cybersecurity infrastructure.”

The company said the first hire has immense experience in organizational development and client relations as well as a strong analytical background, having previously worked as a software engineer and a solutions architect in leading cyber intelligence firms.

Plurilock noted that the new additions are part of its direct sales strategy, which will complement its extensive channel-led sales strategy, which is expected to result in a diversified approach to increase the company's client outreach to deliver authentication solutions to a wider audience, given the rising demand for cybersecurity solutions across various industry verticals.

As well, the company said it has granted stock options to the new employees to purchase a total of 50,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.60 per share, which will vest over four years from the grant date. The stock options are granted for a 10-year term from February 26, 2021.

Plurilock Security also granted stock options to one of its directors to purchase a total of 100,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.56 per share, which will vest over three years from the grant date. The stock options are granted for a five-year term from March 5, 2021.

Plurilock Security is a cybersecurity company that provides multi-factor authentication (MFA) and true continuous authentication using AI-driven behavioral biometrics to confirm a user’s identity.

Unlike competing MFA solutions, Plurilock does not require users to complete lengthy login workflows using mobile messaging or code generators and, unlike competing continuous authentication solutions, the company provides true full-workday authentication in the background.
