Benchmark Metals says latest Cliff Creek drill results bode well for upcoming resource estimate

Drilling at Cliff Creek South has hit broad zones of high-grade and bulk-tonnage mineralization

Benchmark Metals Inc (CVE:BNCH) (OTCQB:CYRTF) (FRA:87CA) has released more positive results from the Cliff Creek area at its flagship Lawyers project in British Columbia, which has extended the mineralized system there.

Drilling at Cliff Creek South has hit broad zones of high-grade and bulk-tonnage mineralization, including 186 metres (m) at a grade of 1.34 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 25.48 g/t silver or 1.66 g/t gold equivalent.

"The CCS zone is repeatedly yielding long intercepts of gold and silver mineralization from surface, said John Williamson, CEO at Benchmark.

"The CCS area now measures over +300 metres strike length and at least 400 metres vertical depth. CCS and all main zones remain open for more expansion during the 2021 drill program."

The company boss noted that recent infill and expansion drilling at Cliff Creek should enhance gold-silver tonnages and grade in the upcoming 2021 Cliff Creek resource estimate.

"We await deeper drilling results, but visible gold in drill core indicates that the entire Cliff Creek zone is a robust mineralized system measuring +1.2 km strike length and at least 550 m in depth and is still open in all directions," he added.

Benchmark is focused on developing the substantial resource potential of its huge Lawyers asset, which sits in the prolific Golden Horseshoe of northern British Columbia.

At the Cliff Creek area, the company has already defined a bulk-tonnage target in the range of 1.68 to 1.92 million ounces (Moz) of gold equivalent at an average grade ranging from 1.71-1.73 g/t gold equivalent.

Multiple new gold and silver soil anomalies have also been identified to the north of the Cliff Creek, Dukes Ridge-Phoenix, and AGB resource zones, extending mineralized trends to the northwest for over 2km and remaining open.
