Savannah Resources PLC's (LON:SAV) David Archer presents his latest findings from their ongoing metallurgical test work programme at its Mina do Barroso lithium project in Portugal to Proactive London.
Archer explains that the results highlighted the potential for lower capital and operating costs, with initial results from the pilot scale Dense Media Separation (DMS) indicating that 20% to 25% of the plant feed can be rejected utilising a single stage of DMS pre-concentration.
This demonstrates that a large portion of the waste material can be rejected before the spodumene flotation stage of the process.
Archer says Mina do Barroso is 'right project, right mineral, right location, right market....a wonderful combination'. He believes 'Portugal could be lithium powerhouse for European industry'.
