Remote Monitored Systems subsidiary making headway

Pharm 2 Farm has also struck a deal that will see its antiviral face-covering product sold on Amazon

Remote Monitored Systems PLC (LON:RMS) said its Pharm 2 Farm (P2F) subsidiary has placed an initial order with the Volz Group for 1mln masks made from its α-virion antiviral material.

It added that discussions are underway to extend this into a production outsourcing arrangement to increase the supply.

In the same announcement, investors were told P2F has inked a distribution agreement with Francis McIntyre, an online garment retailer, to make P2F's masks available in UK and Europe via Amazon.

Francis McIntyre has requested an initial 100,000 units, though its exclusivity on Amazon relies on it ordering 1mln masks a month.

In a wide-ranging update, RMS said P2F is in discussions with Lemu Group, the manufacturer of the mask-making machine, “regarding mechanical issues”.

It has agreed to appoint Egremont Capital as an independent advisor for the next three months to help with the development of P2F's production capabilities.

Egremont will receive a monthly fee and may be issued with up to 500,000 shares on achieving “certain production milestones”.

RMS chairman Antony Legge said: "Whilst a number of issues remain with the machine at BioCity, the purchase order with Volz coupled with the intentions by both parties to enter into a more formal outsourced manufacturing agreement, means P2F can commence sales with confidence as we anticipate a continuing market need for P2F's proprietary α-virion material, notwithstanding the progress of various national COVID-19 vaccination programmes."
