Twenty Seven Co completes Mt Dimer drilling ahead of schedule

The company has also boosted its financial and compliance capabilities with the appointment of two key officials – a new company secretary and chief financial officer.

Twenty Seven Co Ltd (ASX:TSC) has completed a 26-hole, 3,367-metre, drilling campaign at the Mt Dimer Mining Lease in WA’s Goldfields four days early and within budget.

This was mainly due to the efficiency of drilling, logistics and geology teams along with excellent ground conditions.

All samples from the campaign have been dispatched to the laboratory where tests for gold-silver mineralisation are being undertaken and results are expected shortly.

To model JORC-compliant resource

TSC CEO Simon Phillips said: “Thanks to the excellent work of our drilling, logistics and geology teams, the campaign at the Mt Dimer Mining lease has been completed well ahead of schedule.

“The next priority, as the assays are returned, is for our geology consultants to model up a JORC-compliant resource and be across the regulatory process to start-up mining operations.”

Geology consultants will factor in historical and upcoming assays to model a JORC-compliant resource estimate for Mt Dimer.

The company has also mandated these consultants to review the regulatory processes and timelines to potentially re-start mining operations.

With TSC’s strategic agenda focused on three projects in WA’s Goldfields, the company’s board has decided to relocate the head-office from Adelaide to Perth from March 1, 2021.

Key appointments

To enhance its capabilities in Perth as well as its financial and compliance capabilities, the company has appointed Dale Hanna as company secretary and Amy Fink as chief financial officer and collectively they will bring more than 40 years’ experience to the team.

Hanna has more than 20 years’ experience in working in CFO, company secretary, corporate advisory and governance roles, and has worked with many listed-ASX groups primarily involved in the mining and natural resources sectors, ranging from exploration, development and production phases.

He is a chartered accountant and secretary, with current memberships at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Governance Institute of Australia respectively.

Fink is an experienced chartered accountant, with a professional career spanning 18 years across Ernst & Young (Perth), publicly listed groups - predominantly in the mining exploration sector - large private entities and NFPs.

Other than Australia, she has worked extensively in the UK in a variety of roles and has a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from Curtin University and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Phillips added: “The board would like to thank outgoing CFO & company secretary Damien Connor for his invaluable contribution to TSC over his time with the company, and welcome Dale Hanna and Amy Fink to the team.”

Next steps

Next steps at the Mt Dimer Mining Lease comprise the following priority tasks:

  • Progress releasing assay results; and
  • JORC modelling drilling data and reviewing the process to recommence mining operations.

The geology consultants are continuing to formulate exploration plans for TSC’s other WA Goldfields properties, including:

  • A comprehensive review of the prospective exploration licence adjacent to the Mt Dimer Mining Lease to determine its potential;
  • A soil sampling campaign at Yarbu Gold Project to assess the exploration potential along 5 kilometres of the Clampton Fault.
  • At Rover Gold Project, the company is formulating fresh drilling targets, based on extensive geochem results, for the Blue Hills, Four Corners and Middle Well gold prospects. In addition, further, follow-up drilling is set for the mainstay Creasy and Harmonic prospects where significant mineralisation has been identified.
