Roth Capital initiated coverage on American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) with a 'Buy' rating and a $7.50 per share target price, calling the company a “growing metallurgical coal producer with a rare earths kicker". “The company’s three near-term mining projects, Perry County, McCoy Elkhorn, and Wyoming, are in the process of ramping up production and, according to our projections will begin to generate cash flow in 2021,” Roth Capital analyst Matthew Farwell wrote in a note to clients.

Water Tower Research published a note on network solutions group Infinera (NASDAQ:INFN) as the group released its fourth quarter and fiscal year results to December 26 last year. Revenue at Infinera for the fourth quarter was $353.5 million compared to $340.2 million in the third quarter of 2020 and $384.6 million in 4Q, 2019. For the fiscal year, revenue came in at $1,355.6 million compared to $1,298.9 million in 2019. "With North American service provider capex down 22% year-on-year (YoY) in 2020, the company expects the second half of 2021 to be something of a rebound, noted the Water Tower Research analyst in the update. "The company highlighted a number of design wins in 800G, which should begin to ramp in 2H21. Combine this with continued share gain possibilities from Huawei and the company is looking for revenue acceleration in 2H21." The stock is trading at a forward (Price to sales) P/S of a multiple of 1.2, above its three-year average P/S of 0.8 but below its high of 1.5, which it hit earlier this year, Water Tower also noted. Pan-Biome Pharmaceuticals Inc announced Wednesday that its oral drug was effective at modulating gut microbiota in a study of inflammatory bowel disease. The privately-owned biopharmaceutical company, which is focused on chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, said that one of its drugs produced “strong effects” in controlling gut microbiota in mice in a study run by the Gut4Health Microbiome Core at BC’s Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Vancouver-based Pan-Biome said that the compound caused a “distinct shift” in microbiota composition by increasing “good” bacteria, while suppressing bacteria associated with the development of obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The company noted that medications designated as Orphan products by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), once commercially approved in the European Union (EU), receive benefits including up to 10 years of protection from market competition from similar medicines with similar active components and indication-for-use that are not shown to be clinically superior. Co-Diagnostics Inc (NASDAQ:CODX) patented CoPrimer technology is part of a coronavirus (COVID-19) saliva test that is now available through Walgreens Find Care, a digital health platform on the retailer’s website and mobile app. The company’s COVID-19 RT-PCR test is being sold by Clinical Reference Laboratory under its CRL HealthConfirm brand name for $119 per kit, according to a CRL statement released Wednesday. The miner released an updated resource estimate at the Mongolian project that saw measured and indicated (M&I) resources increase to 41.6 million tons or 2.2 million ounces at an average grade of 1.7 grams per ton (g/t) gold equivalent ounces – 1.4 million gold ounces and 20.5 million silver ounces, according to a statement. Steppe Gold is preparing a bankable feasibility project on the ATO operation that is due to come out in the second quarter of 2021.
Gevo Inc (NASDAQ:GEVO) (FRA:ZGV3) announced Wednesday that it and HCS Group GmbH have signed a project memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop and build a renewable hydrocarbon facility at HCS Group’s site in Germany, which would utilize Gevo’s low-carbon sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technology. In a statement, Gevo said the MOU anticipates a first project that is estimated to produce about 60 kMT (22 million gallons per year) of renewable hydrocarbons, advanced renewable fuels, and low-carbon SAF at HCS Group’s site by the end of 2024. HCS Group’s manufacturing center in Speyer, operated by the Haltermann Carless brand, is strategically located in the geographical center of Europe at the Rhine river and in the vicinity of Frankfurt airport.

Australis will pay between C$13.7 million and nearly C$26 million in total consideration, the company said. Initially, the company will pay C$10 million in either common shares at a price of C$0.20, cash, or a mixture of both. An additional C$2 million will be paid once the deal closes, and a C$1.7 million indemnity holdback to follow after 18 months. The agreement also has an option for Australis to acquire the remaining 49% within three years. If sufficient milestone payments are made (the maximum milestone payment is $24 million in three installments if ALPS hits cumulative revenues of C$108.7 million and EBITDA of C$48.9 million), the payments will count in part toward that option.

Endeavour Mining Corp (TSE:EDV) (OTCMKTS:EDVMF) (FRA:E5Y1) said it has moved to a definitive feasibility stage for its Fetekro and Kalana gold projects after reporting positive pre-feasibility studies (PFS) for both. The projects, in Ivory Coast and Mali respectively, show long mine lives and attractive economics and confirm the miner has a strong pipeline of assets, which it can grow organically. The PFS for Fetekro showed a ten-year mine which can produce over 200,000 ounces a year with an after-tax net present value (NPV) of US$470 million and internal rate of return (IRR) of 33%, based on a gold price of US$1,500 an ounce. All-in-sustaining-costs (AISC) were put at US$838 per ounce. The document for Kalana envisages an 11 year project with average annual production of 150,000 ounces at AISC of US$901 per ounce.
