TinyBuild Inc, a US-based indie games developer, has unveiled plans to float on London’s AIM market in the middle of next month.
The company, whose titles include No Time to Explain, Hello Neighbour and Speedrunners, said its strategic focus in on “creating long-lasting [intellectual property] by partnering with video games developers, establishing a stable platform on which to build multi-game and multimedia franchises”.
tinyBuild has published 40 games since its founding in 2013, with the group saying it has a pipeline of 23 new titles scheduled for release within the next 24 months.
The firm has offices in the US, the Netherlands and Latvia but also engages independent contractors in Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Brazil, Slovakia, Belarus and Switzerland.
According to a filing on Tuesday, the company’s chief executive and co-founder, Aleksandrs Ņičiporčiks, owns 61.1% of the shares, while Chinese game maker NetEase controls a 14.3% stake, although the firm did not say at what level its shares will be priced.
TinyBuild, which will list under the London Stock Exchange ticker 'TBLD', is riding the momentum of the recent IPO boom on the London market, where floats from online greeting cards seller Moonpig Group PLC (LON:MOON) and shoemaker Dr. Martens PLC (LON:DOCS) have received a positive reception by investors.
The company may also be looking to take the place of fellow video game firm Codemasters, which left AIM earlier this month after being snapped up by US games giant Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ:EA) in a deal valuing the firm at £954mln.
