Group Eleven Resources Corp (CVE:ZNG) (OTCMKTS:GRLVF) (FRA:3GE) said the next phase of drilling has begun at the Carrickittle prospect at its PG West zinc project in the Republic of Ireland.
The mineral exploration company said mobilization began on February 19, with a total of around 400 meters (m) of drilling planned at Zone 2, an area with “significant historical intercepts”.

Group Eleven said a larger subsequent drill program focussing on Zones 3 and 4, as well as the one-kilometer strike extent to the north, is currently in planning stages and will be announced in due course. Its management is aiming to drill continuously for the remainder of 2021, with total meterage expected to be about 5,000m, primarily focused on the Carrickittle prospect.
Results from the drilling are expected to be announced in the early to mid-second quarter.
Meanwhile, the company said it has completed an induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey at Carrickittle that it said appeared to show several key fault structures along with a strong chargeability-high anomaly at Zone 2.
"We are encouraged that the IP data seems to show a set of distinct fault structures parallel to known areas of mineralization. Specifically, the chargeability-high anomaly at Zone 2 is compelling, given its strength and its extent beyond areas of historic drilling. We look forward to an exciting next phase of drilling," Group Eleven chief executive Bart Jaworski said in a statement.
