Ximen Mining reports further promising exploration results from Providence project in British Columbia

The company drilled six holes last year over 1,172 metres at the property and results have been received from five

Ximen Mining Corp (CVE:XIM) (OTCQB:XXMMF) has reported further encouraging exploration results from its Providence project in British Columbia, including a drill intercept of 178 grams per ton (g/t) silver over a length of 0.7 metres (m) from a depth of 96.77m.

The company drilled six holes last year over 1,172m at the property and results have been received from five.

Elevated silver results in the second and third holes are considered "promising for a potential extension of the Providence vein to the northeast of the historic Providence mine, which was a prolific silver producer," Ximen said. Another highlight assay showed 94.9 g/t of silver over 0.83m starting from a depth of 111.73m.

In addition, assays have also been received for two underground mine chip samples taken across a quartz vein that is exposed in a historic adit discovered in 2018, Ximen told investors.

A highlight assay here was 157 g/t silver and 1.49 g/t gold in one of those samples.

"The vein is 5 centimeters thick where sampled and is mineralized with coarse masses of pyrrhotite with minor sphalerite and pyrite. Its orientation and mineralization are different from the Providence silver vein, so the structure is considered as a separate target from the main Providence vein," the company said in a statement

As reported previously, historic records show that 1,368,075 ounces of silver, 5,896 ounces of gold, 402,690 pounds lead and 260,086 pounds of zinc were recovered from the Providence mine.
