EMQQ The Emerging Markets Internet & Ecommerce ETF (NYSEARCA: EMQQ) co-founder Kevin Carter tells Proactive his thoughts on how the smartphone is pushing more and more consumers to use internet-based products, causing an uptick in the performance of internet and ecommerce companies.
Carter says amongst the ETF's holdings, Nigerian-based online marketplace Jumia and Chinese shopping platform Meituan has performed well. The ETF has has returned over 80% for calendar year 2020, with January posting an 8.24% return.
