Ready Set Gold poised for first assays from Northshore gold project drilling

The company said the first 3,000-metre phase diamond drilling program is now nearly 50% complete

Ready Set Gold Corp (CSE:RDY) said it expects first assay results from drilling at its Northshore gold project in Ontario in the next two to three weeks.

The first 3,000 metre (m) phase diamond drilling program is now nearly 50% complete, the resource firm revealed in a statement.

The work has focused on key areas in the Afric gold zone, which are prospective for higher-grade gold mineralization with the drill holes oriented to better understand the geological controls on the gold mineralization. The zone has seen minimal or no previous drilling.

The company already has a database on the Northshore project, which includes over 200 diamond drill holes, or around 40,000m of core, 500m of trench mapping and sampling, geological sampling and ground and airborne geophysics.

This latest work will add to the company's model and allow it to design further drill programs, it said.

The company now owns a 100% interest in the Northshore gold property, which sits in the Schreiber-Hemlo greenstone belt near Thunder Bay, Ontario.
