EQTEC deepens relationship with Deeside waste-to-energy project partner Logik

Five potential project candidates have already identified including the Deeside plant.

EQTEC PLC -

EQTEC PLC (LON:EQT) has strengthened its partnership with Logik Developments through a collaboration agreement for waste-to-energy projects across the UK.

In December, EQTEC took over the Deeside Refuse Derived Fuel project from Logik through the acquisition of its development vehicle.

Logik has other waste-to-energy projects in the UK and this collaboration extends the relationship with EQTEC granted right of first refusal on other sites in its portfolio.

Five potential project candidates have already identified including the Deeside plant.

David Palumbo, EQTEC’s chief executive said the collaboration agreement with Logik was a natural next step for the business.

"The agreement with Logik builds on the increasing demand in the UK market for projects that will apply EQTEC's advanced gasification technology and solutions."

EQTEC is seeking additional planning permission at Deeside RDF to improve the project’s economics, he added.
