GR Silver Mining Ltd (CVE:GRSL) (OTCQB:GRSLF) (FRA:GPE) has posted more encouraging drill results from its Plomosas Silver project in Mexico, which continue to suggest the asset could host district-scale mineralization.
Today's assays come from underground and surface drilling at the Plomosas Mine Area at the site, along with some sampling of historic drilling.
The work has continued to extend mineralization previously drilled at level 775, the company said, and showed thick intercepts of gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper showing a strong relationship with structures and intrusions at shallow depth.

Highlight assays include 8.6 metres (m) from 49.4m depth at 6.50 grams per ton (g/t) gold, 79 g/t silver, 0.7 % lead and 5.8 % zinc. Another hole showed 61.1m at a grade of 0.4 g/t gold, 30 g/t silver, 0.9 % lead, 1.1 % zinc and 0.2% copper.
"We have always had a strong belief in the large-scale potential of the Plomosas Project. We continue to outline new mineralized zones in the Plomosas Mine Area, with a series of compelling field and drill results indicating a much larger epithermal system," said GR Silver CEO Marcio Fonseca in a statement.
"More recent geochemical and geophysical data, and vectors, suggest the mineralization within the Plomosas project to be a district-scale system. Surface and underground drilling is continuing, in combination with surface exploration, in the vicinity of both the Plomosas Mine and San Juan Areas as part of our business strategy to delineate additional zones of epithermal veining and hydrothermal breccias."
GR Silver's 2021 underground and surface exploration program aims to delineate maiden resource estimates in two areas - the Plomosas Mine and San Juan.
The work is also aimed at uncovering new mineralized zones close to the surface in the remaining part of the exploration concessions.
