Sunrise Resources still awaits analysis results for Nevada silver project

Sunrise said it will release the results as soon as they become available

Sunrise Resources PLC (LON:SRES) told investors that lab analysis of drill core from the Clayton Silver Project may not be available until later this month.

The company issued a statement in response to a number of shareholder enquiries regarding the delay to the announcement of drill core assay results from a programme that took place in November 2020.

“The assay results have not yet been received by the company and it has been advised by the independent laboratory carrying out the assay work that the laboratory is continuing to work through a large backlog of samples, as originally advised by the company in its announcement of 9 November 2020, caused by the confluence of high demand for its services, and staff absenteeism due to COVID-19,” the company said.

“The company will release the results as soon as they become available as is its normal practice for all material assay, analytical and test results.”

In November, the company reported that a drill hole at the Clayton silver-gold Project, in Nevada, passed through the target zone before being terminated at a depth of 104.7 metres.

It was designed to twin and deepen a historic drill hole CL-15, which previously encountered 7.6 metres with a silver grade of 165 grams per tonne (g/t) and 0.4 g/t gold.

The samples were sent to a facility in Reno, Nevada.
