Tartisan Nickel to update preliminary economic assessment on Kenbridge nickel project in Ontario

CEO Mark Appleby told shareholders that the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) update is the first step towards completing a full bankable feasibility study on Kenbridge

Tartisan Nickel Corp (CSE:TN) (OTCMKTS:TTSRF) announced Monday that it is updating a previously published economic report on the Kenbridge nickel project in Ontario.

According to a 2020 resource estimate by Tartisan, Kenbridge contains combined open-pit and underground, historic measured and indicated resource of 7.5 million tons at 0.6% nickel and 0.3% copper for a total of 95 million pounds of contained nickel.

Tartisan CEO Mark Appleby told shareholders that the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) update is the first step towards completing a full bankable feasibility study on Kenbridge.

"The PEA will feature the potential economic viability of Kenbridge and will identify the critical next steps,” Appleby said in a statement. “Tartisan will be outlining future exploration plans for the Kenbridge Nickel Project shortly.”

The preliminary economic assessment is being updated by P&E Mining Consultants, which recently completed a review and update of the historic NI 43-101 technical report and resource estimate in September.

The updated mineral resource estimate, which will be incorporated into Kenbridge’s PEA, is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2021.

Toronto-based Tartisan also owns the Sill Lake silver property in Ontario and the Don Pancho manganese-zinc-lead-silver project in Peru, as well as an equity stake in three exploration companies.
