The company said 15,000m would be aimed at extending the Homestake ridge deposit to depth and along strike, while10,000m will be carried out at the Homestake silver deposit

Fury Gold Mines Limited (TSE:FURY) (NYSEAMERICAN:FURY) (FRA:AUN1) told investors it aims to kick off a 25,000 metre (m) drill program at its high-grade Homestake Ridge gold-silver project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.

In a statement, it said 15,000m would be aimed at extending the Homestake ridge deposit to depth and along strike, while 10,000m of infill drilling will be carried out at the Homestake silver deposit in a bid to upgrade a portion of the resource to the indicated category from inferred and demonstrate the continuity of mineralization.

"The company has refined the geological model at Homestake Ridge and outlined the largest and most intensive drill campaign at the project to date," said Mike Timmins, President and CEO of Fury.

"We have identified multiple high priority opportunities to expand the resource and discover additional high-grade gold and silver mineralization at the project. Increasing the ounce profile at Homestake is a key component of our growth strategy and supports the continuous growth we offer to our shareholders."

Homestake Ridge, a 7,500 hectare (Ha) property with good infrastructure links, already has a resource of 166,000 ounces at 7.02 g/t gold and 1.8 million ounces at 74.8 g/t silver.

Last year, a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) showed a net present value (NPV) for Homestake of US$108 million and an internal rate of return (IRR) after tax of 23.6% at US$1,350 per ounce of gold.

The project is near high-tension power lines and a deep-water port at Alice Arm. In addition, a serviceable forestry road is located within 6km of the deposit.

Fury Gold Mines is a Canada-focused exploration and development company positioned in three prolific mining regions across the country.
