Numinus Wellness Inc (CVE:NUMI), the healthcare company developing psychedelic treatments for mental illness, reported its fiscal 1Q 2021 results on Friday showing a healthy cash balance of nearly C$5 million to help the company advance its many psychedelic therapy initiatives. The Vancouver-based company is the first public firm to legally harvest and extract Psilocybe mushrooms, a feat it achieved in December 2020. During the three-month period to end November 20, 2020, Numinus generated revenue of C$229,188 and ended the quarter with a cash balance of C$4,915,209 thanks to a $4.6 million raise and $1.1 million warrant exercise.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc (CVE:CCW) (OTCMKTS:CCWOF) said it had received the highest grade silver assay so far from a hole at its Robinson zone at the flagship Castle mine property in Ontario, sending shares higher. On Friday, the group reported an assay of 9,853 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 0.3 metres from a depth of 557.46 to 557.76m in one hole (CS-20-39), which, the firm said, confirmed the "significant potential" of discovering additional high-grade silver at the Robinson Zone.

The Valens Company Inc (TSX:VLNS) (OTCQX:VLNCF) (FRA:7LV) reported the closing of its previously- announced bought deal public offering of 19,364,000 units of the company, at a price of $2.05 per unit, for total gross proceeds of $39,696,200. Each unit is comprised of one common share and one-half of a common share purchase warrant, which will allow the holder to purchase one common share of the company at a price of $2.55 for a period of three years following the closing date of the offering. The company said it plans to use the $32 million net proceeds to pursue strategic M&A and business expansion opportunities in Canada and international markets, with the balance to be used for working capital requirements and general corporate purposes. It added that none of the proceeds of the offering will be used for the previously-announced proposed acquisition of LYF Food Technologies Inc.

Melkior Resources Inc (CVE:MKR) (OTCMKTS:MKRIF) (FRA:MEK1) announced Friday it had hired Integral Wealth Securities (Integral) to provide market-making services in accordance with Toronto's Venture Exchange policies. In a brief statement, the resource group said Integral will trade company shares on the exchange for "the purposes of maintaining an orderly market and improving the liquidity of the company's shares". Integral is a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and can access all Canadian Stock Exchanges and Alternative Trading Systems. For the services provided by Integral, Melkior will pay it a monthly cash fee of C$5,000. Integral will not receive shares or options as compensation. However, Integral and its clients may have or may acquire a direct interest in the securities of the company. Melkior and Integral are unrelated and unaffiliated entities. The agreement is for an initial three months, after which, it can be terminated with 30 days' notice.

Tetra Bio-Pharma Inc (TSE:TBP) (OTCQB:TBPMF) (FRA:JAM1) announced Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had cleared its investigational new drug application on its cancer painkiller QIXLEEF. The approval means that the Ottawa-based company can now start a 10-week clinical trial in cancer patients with breakthrough pain. QIXLEEF has a 'fixed ratio' of THC and CBD and is inhaled through a vaporizer. It is squarely aimed at providing respite to advanced cancer patients with inadequately controlled pain.

Aurania Resources Ltd (CVE:ARU) (OTCQB:AUIAF) (FRA:20Q) said it had identified what it believes is a porphyry target at Yawi at its flagship lost Cities - Cutucu project in south-eastern Ecuador from its on-going airborne mobile MT (MMT) geophysical survey. Porphyries are large, wide deposits formed from hydrothermal fluids and represent the biggest source of copper in the world. They can also house gold, silver and molybdenum. Aurania said it was now aiming to get hold of a second drill rig to test the discovery.

AIM ImmunoTech Inc (NYSEAMERICAN:AIM) (FRA:HXB2) has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR) for the proposed AMP-COV-100 (CHDR2049) clinical study on the safety of AIM’s drug Ampligen as an intranasal therapy. In a statement Friday, the company said the study is a critical step in its ongoing efforts to develop Ampligen as a coronavirus (COVID-19) treatment. CHDR, an independent institute located in Leiden in The Netherlands, will conduct and manage the proposed clinical study titled “A Phase I, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety and Activity of Repeated Intranasal Administration of Ampligen (Poly I:Poly C12U) in Healthy Subjects.”

Victory Resources Corporation (CSE:VR) (OTCMKTS:VRCFF) (FRA:VR62) has said it is poised to begin drilling its Loner property in Nevada, USA once a permit is received. Planned are between seven and ten diamond drill holes for a short-hole 500 metre (m) program and a contractor has been hired.

Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp (CSE:CANN) (OTCQX:HERTF) (FRA:2UE) reported that it has received the first order from the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) for the company’s Purefarma and Pura Vida branded products. Heritage Cannabis said that with these orders, it now has three brands available in Ontario, including the company’s newly-acquired Premium 5 brand that been available at the OCS since early December 2020. “This initial order from Ontario will bring Heritage’s award-winning Purefarma and Pura Vida full-spectrum products to consumers in the province, expanding our brand exposure across the country. They join the very popular Premium 5 branded products in the fastest expanding market in Canada,” Heritage Cannabis Holdings CEO Clint Sharples said in a statement.

NexTech AR Solutions Corp ((OTCQB:NEXCF) (NEO:NTAR) (CSE:NTAR) (FRA:N29) announced Friday that the Canadian Society of Physician Leaders (CSPL) has chosen its augmented reality (AR) platform to virtually host the 2021 Canadian Conference on Physician Leadership (CCPL) on April 26-29. With Nextech’s virtual experience and video platform (VXP), attendees will have access to interactive virtual discussions, scalable and secure video-streaming, as well as AR features, including human holograms. The idea is to bring an in-person feel to the virtual conference experience, the company said.

Esports Entertainment Group Inc (NASDAQ:GMBL) announced Friday that its VIE.bet and SportNation.com brands have now been approved to market and operate in more than 150 jurisdictions around the world through the company’s Gaming Service License issued by the Malta Gaming Authority last year. "This move greatly expands the reach of our VIE.bet and SportNation offerings," CEO Grant Johnson said in a statement. "We are particularly excited to see the team at SportNation bring their marketing expertise and innovative rewards system outside the UK for the first time. Mandalay Resources Corporation (TSE:MND) (OTCQB:MNDJF) (FRA:R7X2) revealed positive intercepts from a newly-discovered veining horizon near the Youle deposit on the company’s Costerfield gold operation in Australia. Highlights included 460.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 0.1 metres (m) and 165.1 g/t gold over 0.2m, according to a statement Friday. Toronto-based Mandalay told shareholders that a study of the structural dynamics within and surrounding the Youle deposit highlighted the “distinct probability” of a continuation to auriferous veining within a sub-vertical geometry underneath the westerly-dipping Youle deposit.

Bragg Gaming Group Inc (TSX:BRAG) (OTCMKTS:BRGGF) announced that its ORYX Gaming division has entered the Czech and Slovakian markets through a partnership with omni-channel platform provider SYNOT INTERACTIVE. Bragg Gaming said SYNOT INTERACTIVE, which is part of the SYNOT Group and EASIT, will now be able to offer ORYX’s content to a number of major operators in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as other key regulated territories. “As we enter the new year, we continue to focus on expanding into new regulated markets and growing the reach of our products,” ORYX Gaming Managing Director Matevž Mazij said in a statement.
