IQ-AI Limited’s (LON:IQAI) subsidiary, Imaging Biometrics (IB) has enlisted the expertise of Jay Urbain, PhD to its software development team.
Dr. Urbain, a data scientist speaks to Proactive's Katie Pilbeam about his experience in the sector and how enthusiastic he is about collaborating with Imaging Biometrics.
Urbain explains how he is working primarily on brain imaging and how this is used for patients treated with glioblastoma.
He says 'there are a lot of artifacts in the brain and you have to differentiate between the necrotic tumour to the part that is swelling, and it's 'hard to see all of that'.
Urbain has been working on methods to segment the two so that it is easier to identify the tumour type.
