Ninety One assets increase 8% in third quarter

Assets are up 24% since the start of its financial year

Ninety One PLC (LON:N91) has reported a strong increase in its assets under management (AUM) in the past quarter.

AUM at the end of December 2020 stood at £128.6bn, up 8% from £119bn at the end of September, the FTSE 250-listed investment manager said in a very brief statement.

That was up 24% from £103.4bn at the London and Johannesburg-listed group's year-end last March, just after it demerged from parent Investec.

The shares dipped almost 1% to 233.8p in early trade on Friday, but are still up over 48% since the demerger.
