Golden Arrow Resources hits high grade gold through surface drilling program at Tierra Dorada project in Paraguay

Results reported included 143.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 0.5 meters, within 6 metres averaging 14.5 g/t gold, and 11.8 g/t gold over 3.2 metres within 7.8 metres averaging 6.1 g/t gold

Golden Arrow Resources Corporation (CVE:GRG) (OTCQB:GARWF) announced Tuesday that it hit high-grade gold during a shallow drilling campaign at its Tierra Dorada project in Paraguay.

Results reported Tuesday included 143.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 0.5 meters, within 6 metres averaging 14.5 g/t gold, and 11.8 g/t gold over 3.2 metres within 7.8 metres averaging 6.1 g/t gold.

The latest results came from 41 shallow diamond drill holes totaling 550 metres that tested three of the four more prospective gold vein showings on the property.

Golden Arrow also said it had identified multiple new targets as part of an induced polarization survey, including a 1,700-metre anomalous trend that is open to the northeast and southwest. The southwest extent connects to a broad higher chargeability anomaly, according to a release.

In a statement, the Vancouver-based junior said that the programs at Tierra Dorada continue the work at the Alvaro area to delineate high-grade, quartz vein-hosted gold prospects and refine targets for a larger drill program.

"The extensive soil and vegetation cover at Alvaro makes exploration challenging, so this shallow drill program was an excellent option to give us a better look at the subsurface than we were able to accomplish with prospecting or trenching,” Golden Arrow vice president exploration and development Brian McEwen said.

“We are pleased with the results, which in some cases have confirmed continuity of gold mineralization and veins below surface and in others have shown broader veins than expected with higher grades than the surface sampling."

Golden Arrow is planning a follow up drill program of a minimum of 2,000 metres set to begin by the end of 1Q 2021.
