Pacton Gold reports high-grade, widespread mineralization from first phase drilling at Sidace project, Red Lake

Ten holes were completed with results received from nine, showing all holes hit gold mineralization

Pacton Gold Inc (CVE:PAC) (OTCPINK:PACXF) (FRA:2NKM) has hailed the first phase drill results from its Sidace project in Red Lake, Ontario, which have shown high-grades and widespread gold mineralization.

Ten holes were completed, with results received from nine, showing all hit gold mineralization. Highlight assays included a high grade of 9 grams per ton (g/t) of gold over 2.3 metres (m).

The widespread nature of the mineralization was demonstrated with results of 1.3 g/t of gold over 75.2m.

"These results represent a great start to our drill program at the Sidace gold project in Red Lake, Ontario," said Nav Dhaliwal, Pacton's interim president and CEO.

"Not only has every hole hit mineralization, including high-grade and widespread gold, but we have extended the main zone in all directions. We have also identified broad surrounding mineralization and are excited to test the extent of these areas."

With the first phase complete, the second phase of work will target the extension of the Upper Duck Zone along strike and at depth, reported Pacton.

The program will include 11,500m of drilling and is expected to be completed in the spring this year.

Sidace is an advanced gold asset, which lies 28km north-east of the town of Red Lake, and hosts three distinct zones of mineralization and has seen over 80,000m of drilling.

The project is a joint venture project between Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX:EVN) (OTCMKTS:CAHPF) (FRA:WE7), which has 60.5% and Pacton Gold, which has a 39.5% stake. Evolution's ownership is undergoing dilution in the current program.
