Vango Mining boosts board skill set with appointment of industry veteran

Recently completed drilling at Marymia Gold Project showed it has the potential to become one of Australia's largest high-grade projects and the company has the team and strategy in place to realise this goal.

Vango Mining Limited (ASX:VAN) has appointed The Honourable Craig Wallace as an independent non‐executive director effective today in line with the company’s commitment to continue reviewing and refreshing its board and management.

Wallace is an accomplished international commercial negotiator and communicator with extensive senior executive and board experience and served as deputy chairman of TerraCom Resources, now TerraCom Ltd (ASX:TER), between 2012 and 2020.

Wallace also served in the Parliament of Queensland from 2004 until 2012, holding a variety of appointments including as the Minister for Natural Resources and Water, Minister for Main Roads, Fisheries and Marine Infrastructure and as the Deputy Speaker of the Queensland Parliament.

“Adding new skills”

Vango executive chairman Bruce McInnes has welcomed Wallace to the Vango board.

He said: “His experience and diverse skill set will be invaluable to the board and management team as we continue to develop a range of commercial and operational opportunities at the Marymia Gold Project.

“Craig’s appointment continues our focus on adding new skills to the board, to the best position for Vango to achieve its corporate objectives.”
