Blink Charging is riding high on growing electric vehicle sales: Water Tower Research

Water Tower Research said Blink Charging has a competitive advantage with its network of EV charging stations

Water Tower Research has published a two-part management series on Blink Charging Co (NASDAQ: BLNK), which focuses on the company’s key drivers, milestones, obstacles and opportunities, and industry megatrends featuring Blink’s CEO Michael Farkas.

Water Tower Research’s management series covers key catalysts and milestones that investors should monitor, including network expansion opportunities through joint ventures (JVs) and long-term partnership agreements, additional charger deployments with Envoy Technologies, and additional geographic expansion.

“Blink operates in the high-growth EV charging market, the backbone infrastructure critical for broader adoption of EVs. An early mover, coupled with end-to-end EV charging solutions, provides the company with a competitive advantage over many competitors focused on either selling hardware or support drivers with an EV charging network,” said Water Tower Research Co-Founder and Head of Sustainable Investing and BioEconomy Research Shawn Severson in a statement.

He added: “The major benefit of Blink’s ownership of the equipment is that it enables the company to take advantage of the significant increase in the utilization rate of the equipment, as more EVs are in operation versus simply representing a one-time equipment sale. Recent partnerships with Envoy Technologies, Cushman & Wakefield, and SemaConnect should expand Blink’s network and further facilitate affordability/connectivity.”

Water Tower Research noted that there is also the opportunity to grow the Blink Network and to potentially pursue avenues of monetizing that asset, in addition to partnering with automotive OEMs to expand into dealerships and packaged sales of chargers with vehicles.

The complete two-part management series can be accessed HERE.

Blink Charging is a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and has deployed more than 23,000 charging stations, many of which are networked EV charging stations, enabling EV drivers to easily charge at any of the company’s charging locations worldwide.

The Blink Network uses proprietary, cloud-based software that operates, maintains, and tracks the EV charging stations connected to the network and the associated charging data.

Forbes recently included Blink Charging on its List of America's Best Small Companies.
