Power Metal Resources PLC (LON:POW) has updated on exploration work at the Ditau project in Botswana.
Ditau, which includes two prospecting licences held in a joint venture with Kavango Resources PLC (LON:KAV), is prospective for rare earths.
The group said the first stage of orientation work at Ditau is now complete, including geophysical and geochemical surveys.
"The strategic joint venture with Kavango is surging ahead with work completed and announced from the Kalahari copper belt, and now from the Ditau project,” said Power Metals chief Paul Johnson in a statement.
“With the Ditau Project we are seeking a discovery of rare earth elements, which are highly valuable and sought after commodities, particularly from secure and stable jurisdictions such as Botswana,” he added.
