Remote Monitored Systems says P2F production machine should arrive in early January

The haulier company was unable to make the delivery of a production machine due to the situation at the English-French border. Delivery is expected in the next few days.

Remote Monitored Systems -

Remote Monitored Systems PLC (LON:RMS) said delays at the English-French border have slightly delayed delivery of a machine to its subsidiary, Pharm 2 Farm (P2F).

The production machine was ready for loading as expected on Christmas Eve but the haulier company advised that it was unable to make the delivery due to the situation at the English-French border. The earliest the machine is now likely to be loaded is January 4, 2021.

The test results for the certification of Pharm 2 Farm's 4-ply mask (targeted for everyday use) are now expected to be received in the first half of this month, Remoted Monitored Systems added.

The test results for the 5-ply masks (targeted at healthcare professionals in high-risk environments) are now likely to be available in early February.

The delays in the machine delivery and mask approval testing noted above mean that expected maximum production volumes of 4-ply masks in Nottingham are likely to be 500,000 and 1.3mln units in January and February 2021 respectively.

Manufacturing of the 5-ply mask is not likely to start until February at the earliest; when it does, it will affect production volumes of the 4-ply masks.

Once the certifications noted above are granted the company anticipates placing an order with Volz for 500,000 masks incorporating P2F's antiviral material layer.
