Anteris Technologies in trading halt with capital raising news pending

The company’s three-dimensional single-piece aortic valve DurAVR™ was selected as a 'Best Innovation' at last month’s PCR London Valves 2020 virtual conference.

Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR) (OTCMKTS:AMEUF) (FRA:DDF) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX with a capital raising announcement upcoming.

The halt will remain in place until the beginning of ASX trade on Tuesday, December 29, or when an announcement is released to the market, whichever occurs earlier.

Selected as a ‘Best Innovation’

Recently, the company’s three-dimensional (3D) single-piece aortic valve DurAVR™ was selected as a 'Best Innovation' at the PCR London Valves 2020 virtual conference.

The Anteris’ DurAVR™ aortic replacement valve addresses the acute need in terms of superior hemodynamic profile as well as chronic needs in its ability to sustain that profile longer over the lifetime of the patient.

PCR London Valves is the world’s largest educational meeting focused on transcatheter therapies for valvular heart disease and attracts interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, heart teams and industry partners committed to the field of structural heart solutions.

Trial data presented

The company also presented data from the first-in-human trial of the DurAVR™ during the conference.

Interim results correlated with existing clinical data and those of the prior head-to-head study with a similar protocol which produced significant differentials between ADAPT® tissue and Edwards Life Sciences’ Thermafix tissue at the eight to 12-month mark.

Final results of the eight-month study will be used in the US Food and Drug Administration submissions to demonstrate DurAVR™ superiority compared with currently available valves subject to the final results being consistent with these positive interim results.
