Land Securities CEO finalises new management team

Colette O'Shea is to assume the newly created title of Chief Operating Officer

Land Securities Group PLC (LON:LAND) new chief executive Mark Allan has rejigged the property group's management team.

Allan has laid out four priorities for the struggling FTSE 100 firm: Optimise Landsec's central London business; Reimagine retail; Realise capital from subscale sectors and Grow through urban opportunities.

As part of the plan, a new executive leadership team structure was unveiled today with Colette O'Shea to assume the newly created title of Chief Operating Officer.

In addition, Bruce Findlay is appointed as Managing Director, Retail, after joining the business on December 7 from Furla, where he was Chief Commercial Officer.

Chris Hogwood will also join the firm as Managing Director, Corporate Affairs from Portland in February 2021.

Landsec has also appointed Liz Miles as Company Secretary while Tim Ashby will be stepping down as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary with effect from January 1, 2021.

In a statement, Mark Allan said: "The level of talent and expertise within Landsec is a real source of strength for the business and a reason why we are recognised as leaders in the sector."
