Sales are going well says the graphene specialist

Directa Plus PLC (LON:DCTA) said good sales of graphene-enhanced face masks will mean its sales beating forecasts in the current year to end December.

Sales of G+ enhanced face masks, including Co-Masks, have been very popular both with individual and corporate customers, said Directa, while Setcar, the group's Environmental division, has also contributed to the improved revenue expectations for the current year.

As a result, total revenues for the year will be around €6mln (2019: £5.5mln), the AIM-listed group added.

Directa Plus said it had also been granted a second patent on the equipment used to manufacture its graphene additives, which will boost capacity five times and lower maintenance costs.

This new patent protects the company's core production process for an additional 20 years, it noted.

In addition, Directa said it has signed an agreement to supply G+ to the soft goods division of a consumer electronics manufacturer to work on graphene-enhanced device covering materials.

In a statement, Giulio Cesareo, the group's chief executive, said: "Directa Plus is gaining momentum in each of our four key verticals. Our strategy of building industrial partnerships in existing markets continues to succeed; we are gaining traction and capturing more value in each market.

“Indeed, the advances we have seen recently in our work with Lithium Sulphur batteries means that this business line has the potential to be our fifth key vertical very quickly.”
