Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) has received additional high-grade results from resource definition diamond drilling which infill and extend gold mineralisation at East Sampson Dam (ESD) prospect within the Silver Swan North Project in Western Australia.
High-grade results from diamond drill hole SSMH0098 include:
- 1-metre at 18.2 g/t gold from 69 metres;
- 1-metre at 4.67 g/t from 52 metres; and
- 3 metres at 1.17 g/t from 63 metres.
Mineralised intervals at the prospect show very high correlation with gold grades in adjacent holes.
Geological logging indicates gold mineralisation at ESD occurs close to margins of quartz-feldspar porphyry intrusion.
“Results very positive”
Moho managing director Shane Sadleir: “These new diamond drilling results are very positive and highlight the quality of preliminary modelling of mineralisation at Moho’s East Sampson Dam prospect.”
Diamond drill hole SSMH0098 was designed to clarify high-grade gold mineralisation previously intersected.
Samples from the hole were prepared on a 1-metre basis with duplicate samples collected every 50 metres.
These were analysed at Bureau Veritas Laboratories, Perth, by 40-gram fire assay with AAS finish.
Gold mineralisation at ESD is found in units close to the margins of the quartz-feldspar porphyry body which intrudes the sedimentary/diorite sequence.
RC drilling underway
Expanded phase-2 reverse circulation (RC) resource definition drilling is underway at ESD, including 45 holes for around 3,800 metres to infill the current resource and test for mineralised extensions to the north and south.
A number of deeper holes have also been designed to test the potential for mineralised stacked shoots adjacent to the porphyry.
Next steps
The company plans to review the remaining diamond assay results this month along with a review of downhole logging drill data to define structural controls on gold mineralisation.
It plans to target further gold mineralisation north of ESD with aircore drilling of auger gold anomalies in the first half of 2021.
Moho is also awaiting on the calculation of a JORC-compliant resource by CSA Global in the first quarter of 2021.
