Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) has hit high-grade gold from resource definition diamond drilling, designed to infill and extend gold mineralisation at the East Sampson Dam (ESD) gold prospect within the wider Silver Swan North Project in Western Australia.
The encouraging initial assays are part of an eight-hole drilling program for 652.7 metres which aimed to target mineralised intersections in past reverse circulation drilling, identify structures offsetting mineralisation, and provide geotechnical data for mining studies.
“Significant gold production potential”
Managing director Shane Sadleir said: “These initial diamond drilling results are very encouraging and highlight the significant gold production potential of Moho’ East Sampson Dam prospect.”
Fist diamond drilling results include:
- 2 metres at 18 g/t gold form 105 metres, including 1 metre at 34.8 g/t gold from 106 metres; and
- 6 metres at 5.63 g/t gold from 18 metres, including 1 metre at 16.2 g/t gold from 19 metres and 1 metre at 13.5 g/t gold from 23 metres.
Looking ahead
In November – December the company expects further drilling assays ahead of phase-2 reverse circulation (RC) resource definition drilling in November of 40 holes for 4,000 metres.
Downhole geophysical logging of RC holes for structural, moisture and density data is targeted for Q1 2021 and air core drilling of historical auger gold anomalies north of ESD is targeted for the first half of 2021.
A review of downhole logging and diamond drill data to define structural controls on gold mineralisation is aimed for Q4 2020 with the resource model and a JORC resource targeted for Q1 2021.
