PolarX Ltd (ASX:PXX) expects to receive assay results in the near-term from recently completed drilling at the Zackly East gold-copper discovery within its Alaska Range Project.
The company recently completed a 23-hole, 3,131 metres core drilling program at Zackly East with assay results received for the first six holes to date.
Further Zackly East assays are expected in the next 3-6 weeks with additional assays expected in mid-November, and final batches expected by early December.
COVID-19 delays
The company, along with most in the sector, is experiencing lengthy delays in receiving assay results for drill samples due to restrictions imposed on laboratory procedures in managing COVID-19 protocols.
PolarX currently expects to receive further assays as follows:
- Assays for drill holes ZX20041-ZX20045 are expected in early- to mid-November;
- Assays for drill holes ZX20046-ZX20048 are expected in late-November, and
- Assays for drill holes ZX20049-ZX20055 are expected in early-December.
