FTSE 100 opened higher despite further coronavirus restrictions announced across Europe and ongoing Brexit concerns. London’s leading index added 36 points to 5,956 in early trading.

Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC (AIM: SYM) said the largest baker in Turkey, Uno Bakery, has launched a biodegradable packaging programme using its technology. Uno is the first major bakery in Turkey to upgrade most of its packaging with d2w biodegradable technology, Symphony said.
