British American Tobacco PLC (LON:BATS) has appointed non-executive director Luc Jobin as its chairman designate from March 2021 to replace incumbent Richard Burrows.
Jobin joined the board in 2017, after holding the roles of president and chief executive officer at Canadian National Railway Company.

He was previously an executive vice president at financial services company Power Corporation of Canada and chief financial officer and chief executive of Imperial Tobacco Canada.
Burrows will retire from the board after the FTSE 100-listed firm's annual general meeting in 2021.
BAT shares dipped 3% to 2,591.26p on Thursday morning.
