Supermarket Income REIT receives full rent for September quarter

The REIT has now received all of its contracted rent for 2020 to date

Supermarket Income REIT PLC (LON:SUPR) said it has received 100% of its contracted September quarterly rent payments.

That means it has now received all of its contracted rent for 2020 to date, the trust said.

Supermarket Income invests in sites occupied by major supermarket chains such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose, all of which have seen sales surge due to coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Last week, Supermarket Income REIT increased the target size of a planned share issue by £50mln to £200mln due to strong demand from shareholders.

The REIT also said it had has identified £400mln worth of omnichannel sites that meet its criteria of size and online fulfilment potential.
