Industries such as technology, digital, e-commerce, fintech, cyber-security and healthcare have seen strong demand, it added.

In the quarter to September 30, 2020, net fee income slid 31% to £72mln, while group headcount was down to 3,240 from 4,258 a year earlier due to its cost-cutting programmes.

Net cash at the period-end was £138mln while the group has a £60mln committed loan facility due for renewal in 2023.
