Ferrexpo sees nine month production figures rise, as court tussle over share ownership continues

Ferrexpo is one of Ukraine's major iron ore producers

Ferrexpo PLC (LON:FXPO) boosted pellet production by 3% at is iron ore operations in Ukraine during the nine months to September, although third quarter production was down as planned maintenance took place.

The company's additional concentrator section was completed in the third quarter, with commissioning and ramp-up of this set to progress in the fourth quarter.

Separately, a court in Kiev has rejected an appeal by the company relating to a court-ordered restriction on 50.3% of the shares in operating subsidiary Ferrexpo Poltava Mining.

This announcement means that the restriction covering the shares in FPM remains effective. The restriction does not affect ownership of the shares in FPM, but prohibits their transfer.

Ferrexpo argues that it has no intention, and never has had any intention, to transfer its shareholding in FPM.

Ferrexpo's operations remain unaffected and continue as normal.
