Galileo Resources updates on project progress

Last month, Galileo started an airborne survey of recently acquired Kalahari Copper Belt project in Botswana.

Galileo Resources PLC (LON:GLR) said it has taken advantage of the delay allowed by coronavirus disruption to push back publication of results for the year to March 2020.

The additional three months afforded by the extension has pushed the final publication date back to the end of December, it said in a trading update.

Last month, Galileo started an airborne survey of recently acquired Kalahari Copper Belt project in Botswana.

Elsewhere, the junior added it was still assessing the potential contribution from silver and germanium from ore at its Star Zinc project.

One this process is finalised, it will apply for a small-scale mining permit, something that is targeted for 2021.

At the Glenover phosphate project in South Africa, Galileo said the only outstanding matter on its mining right application remains a Record of Decision (RoD) from the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) on the proposed Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) design.

Glenover continues to seek potential investors in the project, added Galileo.
