Chaarat Gold says minimal impact on Armenia mine from Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Nagorno-Karabakh is about 150 kilometres away from its Kapan operations, the mining company said

Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd (LON:CGH) said the impact of military action between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh region has been “minimal” on the company's operations.

The AIM-quoted gold mining company has an operating mine in Armenia, and assets at various stages of development in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Nagorno-Karabakh is about 150 kilometres away from its Kapan mine and processing operations, Chaarat said.

“Management and the team on the ground continuously monitor the situation, have business continuity plans in place to react quickly to any new developments and monitor supply chains on a daily basis,” the company said.

It promised to provide an update on the situation as and when appropriate.
